The cellar

Kodagu poured berry by berry.

Every Kodagu housekeeper once kept a winter carboy under the stairs — blackberry, gooseberry, ginger, and the odd fist of garden chilli. Kimberly Coorg Cafe keeps the habit alive and pours it by the glass. It's the coolest wine tasting you'll find at 4,000 feet.

How the tray works

Taste small, choose slow.

Ask for the sampler — three short pours so the table can argue politely. Most guests end on one of these paths:

Path A

The Fruit Round

Light berry pours, cold-week friendly, nearly everyone's first choice.

Sampler · ₹180
Path B

The Spice Round

Pepper, cardamom and ginger-house recipes. Deeply Kodagu.

Sampler · ₹180
Path C

The Chilli Dare

One glass of the chilli wine — honey finish, slow burn, points for bravery.

Single · ₹90

Wine is served to guests 18 and over. Rooftop pours run past dark; the fireplace corner keeps the mist out below. Spare bottles usually travel — ask about the take-home corner before you leave.
